FAQ

What people askthe studio.

Where something is decided in your specification, this page says so.

Before you decide

What does a HOLZ kitchen cost?

HOLZ quotes one figure for the whole project: your kitchen as specified, drawn for your measured space, in AED, in writing. There is no rate per metre and no menu of extras. The figure is put on the table during the specification stage, before you commit to anything.

Where does HOLZ work?

Across the UAE. The studio surveys and fits wherever the project is.

How long does it take?

8–10 weeks for the build and the installation, counted from the confirmation point: the approved design, the signed contract and the down payment, together. The design phase before that runs at your pace, on your approvals, and is not counted in the figure. The Journey page sets out both halves.

Where can I see the kitchens?

The kitchens on this site are concept studies, drawn to the studio's specification standards and labelled as such. The studio meets you at your site or by video, and material samples are shown in person during the specification stage.

Which systems does HOLZ specify?

Documented ones. Runners and hinges carry the maker's declared load and cycle figures, and those figures are written into your specification, where they can be held to. Stone is specified by declared heat and stain behaviour, boards by their cores and edge bonding, lighting by temperature and position. The exact names are opened with you in your specification, at the table.

Does HOLZ make more than kitchens?

Yes: fitted living, in the kitchen's material language. Wardrobes and dressing rooms, media walls, pantries and utility rooms, home offices. The Living page shows how the language continues; the kitchen remains the studio's flagship.

Can the same materials continue into other rooms?

That is the point. One material world, carried from the kitchen into every fitted room, specified in the same written document.

How do I start?

Begin the three-minute discovery on this site. It asks the questions a designer would ask, and the studio reads every answer before calling you back, within two business days.

After you commission

How will I know what is happening during the making?

Through your thread with the studio, which carries each stage as it happens. The written specification is the reference the whole build answers to, so any question has a documented answer.

What do I receive at handover?

A walkthrough of every mechanism and material, care guidance for the surfaces you chose, and the specification archived: your kitchen and its documents together.

Who do I reach if something needs adjusting later?

The same studio. One studio answered for the work before handover; the same studio answers after it.

What currency does HOLZ work in?

AED, and always in writing, in the specification, before you commit.

The process in full: The Journey.
